Threads Leads Monitor: privacy policy and data deletion

Threads Leads Monitor is an internal tool of Golden Team, a software development company (LLC “Golden-Team”, Ukraine). It is used only by our own team and is not offered to other users.
What the app does
Once per hour the app uses the official Threads API to search recent public Threads posts for phrases such as “looking for a React developer” or “need a developer”. Posts that look like someone is looking to hire a developer are shown to our team in a private Telegram channel. Our team then opens the post on Threads and replies manually from our company account.
The app never publishes, replies, likes, follows or sends messages on its own.
What data the app processes
- Public post text, the author’s public username and the link to the post, as returned by the Threads keyword search.
- The post ID, used to avoid showing the same post twice.
- The access token of our own company Threads account, used to call the Threads API.
The app does not access private messages, private profiles, contact details, or any other non-public information.
How the data is used and shared
- OpenAI receives the text of a found public post only to decide whether it is a request to hire a developer. We use the OpenAI API, which does not use this data to train its models by default.
- Telegram delivers relevant posts (text, username, link) to a private channel that only our team members can read.
We do not sell, rent or share this data with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Storage and retention
We do not keep a database of posts or users. The only thing stored on our server is the list of post IDs that have already been checked. Messages in our private Telegram channel are kept for our team’s work and can be deleted on request.
How to request data deletion
If you want us to delete any data related to your Threads posts, email threads@golden-team.org with your Threads username and, if possible, a link to the post.
We will remove the post ID from our list and delete the related messages from our Telegram channel within 30 days, and confirm by email.
You can also stop any app from accessing your own Threads account at any time in Threads: Settings -> Account -> Website permissions.
